GHS baseball hosted the Fourth Annual 100 Inning Game and kicked off the fundraiser on Saturday, Feb. 3 at 12 p.m. at Grapevine High School, and the fundraiser is still underway!
About the Game
A marathon baseball game, the 100 Inning Game is the symbolic start to the Mustang Baseball season. Freshmen, JV, JV Blue and Varsity players were combined to make mini-teams. The teams competed in round robin games for 100 innings, resulting in one winning team at the end of the day. The game lasted about 5 hours.
The day began with players and coaches taking the field to honor our flag as a guest performer sang the national anthem. After the patriotic kick off, the boys played some serious ball! Baseball season kicked off in full swing with drinks and snacks at the concession stand, hot food cooking on the grill, spirit wear for sale and the GHS cheerleaders cheering the teams on.
About the Fundraiser
The 100 Inning Game is also the start to our fundraising season. The Mustang baseball players are working to raise money that will offset baseball expenses not covered by school funding.
